The MEROSS MS605MAT-EU is an advanced presence sensor using triple detection technology (mmWave radar, PIR, and light sensor) that provides precise motion and presence detection at a range of up to 6 meters. Support for Matter over Thread ensures fast and stable operation, and the lack of an additional Meross hub simplifies installation. Its compact design, measuring 77 x 35 x 48.5 mm, battery operation, and IP67 resistance make it suitable for a variety of conditions – both indoors and outdoors.
Precise detection thanks to the triple sensor system
The combination of a 24 GHz mmWave radar, PIR sensor, and light sensor enables highly accurate presence detection – even with minimal movement. The low-power radar adapts to environmental conditions, ensuring quick response and reducing false alarms. The presence detection range is up to 4 meters and motion detection up to 6 meters, allowing for effective monitoring of rooms of all sizes.
Matter over Thread connectivity and broad compatibility
The device communicates using Thread technology, ensuring stable and energy-efficient operation. A compatible Thread Border Router is required for integration with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings. The sensor works with HomePod Mini, Apple TV 4K, Google Nest Hub, and Echo devices, among others, allowing it to be easily integrated into an existing smart home system.
Advanced personalization and zone control
The 7-zone space division feature allows for precise definition of the sensor's operating area and the elimination of unwanted detections, such as those from fans or plants. Additionally, it's possible to create virtual sensors within a single device, significantly expanding automation capabilities. Various features are available depending on the platform – for example, Apple Home enables automation based on presence and light intensity, allowing for more advanced scenarios.
Long operating time and resistance to conditions
The sensor is powered by a CR123A battery, which provides up to 36 months of operation without needing to be replaced. The housing meets the IP67 standard, meaning it is fully dust and water resistant, and the operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C allows for use in demanding environments. "Do Not Disturb" mode allows you to turn off the LED and low battery notifications, which is especially useful at night.
Simple setup and convenient operation
The pairing process is intuitive and is done via the Meross app – simply scan the QR code and connect the device to your chosen platform. An LED indicates the operating status, and a built-in button allows for quick setup. Thanks to Bluetooth support, the initial connection process is smooth and hassle-free.
