The Freewell Real Locking All Day Kit is a filter system designed for creators who need complete control over light and image. It combines a variable neutral density (VND) filter, an ND32 filter, and a white balance hood, providing maximum flexibility for photography and videography. It's all built around a robust locking system that ensures quick setup and stability even during dynamic shooting.

Precise light and exposure control

The variable neutral density (VND) filter offers 3 to 10 stops of image darkening adjustment. This allows you to shoot even in very bright light without overexposure—without having to adjust your shutter speed or aperture. The included ND32 filter expands the operating range to a maximum of 10 stops, perfect for long exposures, motion blur, timelapses, or cinematic smoothness.

Mechanical lock – stability without magnets

Unlike traditional magnetic filters, Freewell uses a mechanical locking system that holds the filter firmly in place. The filter doesn't rotate or fall off, even during intense camera movement or gimbal use. Installation and removal are a snap – simply press the side latches.

The camera is held in the hand by the lens, to which a filter with a mechanical lock is attached.

Natural colors without distortion – True Color Optics

The filters are made of True Color optical glass, which allows you to achieve neutral, true colors even in dark environments or with high contrast. This is especially important when working with professional video material, where consistency is key.
