The obstacle avoidance system operates with millimeter precision, and a power output of up to 25,000 Pa allows for the rapid removal of dust, pet hair, and gravel. The device is equipped with hair-resistant brushes, extendable arms, and the first base station in the series with a self-cleaning system using high-pressure water jets, allowing for many days of maintenance-free use. A 164 ml tank capacity and quiet operation further enhance user comfort.
Avoids obstacles with drone-like precision
The DJI ROMO S utilizes technologies found in DJI's flagship drones—including fisheye sensors and wide-angle solid-state LiDAR transmitters—to effectively recognize its surroundings and avoid collisions in real time. Using machine learning-based algorithms, the robot detects even very small objects, such as thin cables (2mm) or playing cards. It doesn't require prior home preparation—it operates autonomously, cleaning close to obstacles without getting stuck.

The advanced navigation system allows the DJI ROMO S to move smoothly in a variety of conditions – even in dark rooms, under furniture, and near black objects. Its wide-angle vision system eliminates blind spots and recognizes irregularly shaped obstacles. The device analyzes the surroundings and plans optimal routes, cleaning close to walls, between furniture legs, and around cables – without the risk of getting stuck. It avoids socks, pet waste, and small obstacles, and when finished, the DJI ROMO S automatically returns to its base, choosing the optimal route.
Power that leaves no chance to dirt
At the heart of the DJI ROMO S is a motor with a nine-blade metal fan that generates up to 25,000 Pa of suction power and 20 l/s of airflow. It removes dust, pet hair, sand, and other debris from various floor types. Sensors analyze the level of debris and automatically adjust the intensity. When the robot detects spilled litter, it slows down the side brushes to prevent scattering dirt, then increases suction power to thoroughly clean the floor. All in near silence thanks to a sound-absorbing chamber.
The perfect solution for pet owners
Two motors power a brush system that efficiently directs debris—including hair and fur—directly into the bin. The DJI ROMO S operates smoothly and without clogging, reducing the need for frequent cleaning. A rubber brush reduces hair entanglement, making it easier to keep the device clean. A brush combining bristles and rubber is also available, which works well on carpets and heavily soiled floors.

Using two automatically extendable cleaning arms, the DJI ROMO S reaches into corners, cleans along walls, under furniture, and around chair legs. Using real-time space mapping and adaptive algorithms, the robot adapts its route to the room's layout, reaching places other devices often can't.

A 164ml tank keeps the mopping pads properly moist. DJI ROMO S adjusts the amount of water to the level of dirt, using more in areas that require more attention. Before mopping, the robot sweeps the surface, which helps prevent smearing and improves cleaning efficiency.
Base station – comfort and hygiene without your participation
The DJI ROMO S works with an intelligent base station that automatically cleans the mopping pads. Four high-pressure water jets effectively remove dirt, while a large 16mm suction port handles water, hair, and other debris. With a pressure of up to 12N, the base station thoroughly cleans the pads – even after an intensive cleaning cycle. A three-stage noise reduction system reduces operating noise by up to 80%, allowing you to use the device at any time.
Full automation – less work, better results
ROMO S not only cleans but also automatically responds to situations in real time. The station analyzes the pads' soiling level and adjusts the number of cleaning cycles as needed. When the device encounters stubborn stains, it performs additional mopping passes. In vacuum mode or when a carpet is detected, the DJI ROMO S raises the mopping module to avoid wetting textile surfaces. While mopping, it raises the main brush, reducing the risk of spreading dirt.
Adaptable to any interior and lifestyle
The DJI ROMO S robot adapts its operation to the function and layout of each room. It can recognize carpets and increase suction power on them or avoid them, depending on the settings. In the kitchen, it dispenses detergent and returns to the dock to rinse the pads after mopping. In areas with pets, the robot slows down to prevent spreading dirt while increasing power to effectively pick up pet hair.
App control – convenient and remote
With the DJI Home app, you can manage your robot remotely – from anywhere. Set a schedule, choose an operating mode, or create your own cleaning plan tailored to your daily routine. You'll also receive notifications, such as when the tank needs to be refilled. Video calling lets you see what's happening at home, chat with family members, or soothe your pet. The camera requires two-factor authentication, and the video transmission is encrypted and can be completely disabled at any time.

The DJI ROMO S supports 55W fast charging – a full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. It automatically recharges its battery each time it visits the charging station, increasing its readiness for use.
