The Sonoff MINI-ZB2GS-L allows you to turn a traditional switch into an intelligent lighting control system – without the need for a neutral wire. It's especially useful in older installations where only the live wire is located in the junction box. It's compact, supports two circuits, and works with popular ZigBee gateways.
Works without a neutral wire
This model works without an N cable, so you can modernize your installation without breaking walls or making electrical modifications. Installation is simpler and faster, saving you the time and costs associated with running additional wiring. The module does not require an additional bypass, simplifying installation and reducing the number of components in the system.
Two channels – independent control
The MINI-ZB2GS-L supports two outputs (L1 and L2), allowing you to control two independent circuits, for example, two lighting sections. Each channel can operate independently, giving you greater flexibility in lighting arrangements in the room. The maximum load is 8A per channel, up to 12A total, which is suitable for typical home applications.
Compact size and installation in a 60 mm box
The housing, measuring approximately 45 x 39.4 mm, is designed to easily fit in a standard 60 mm diameter junction box. Its small size makes it easy to mount behind a traditional switch, even where wiring space is limited. This allows you to retain your existing wall fixture while expanding its functionality with smart control. The device works with various switch types, including SPDT, allowing you to adapt it to your existing installation.
Gateway Integration and System Functions
The module operates in the ZigBee 3.0 standard and requires a ZigBee gateway. It works with devices such as iHost, NSPanel Pro, Zigbee Bridge Pro, Zigbee Bridge Ultra, Dongle Max, ZBDongle-P/E, Dongle Plus MG24, and Dongle Lite MG21. This allows you to easily adapt it to your smart home infrastructure. Once integrated, you gain full control over functions such as remote on/off switching, changing the external switch's operating mode, relay disconnection mode, and setting the state after power is restored. OTA updates are also available, allowing you to keep the device running the latest software without having to disassemble it.
Disconnected Relay Mode and Automation
The relay disconnection function allows you to transform a classic switch into an intelligent scene control button. In practice, this means that physically pressing the switch can trigger a specific action in the smart home system, without directly switching the power supply. You can set schedules, timers, and create intelligent scenes. Event history also allows you to control when and how the module was used.
