Shelly DALI Dimmer Gen3 is a compact and extremely flexible device for controlling lighting brightness in DALI systems. It operates as a single-master controller that supports DALI Part 207 (DT6) luminaires and sends broadcast messages to all devices on the bus. It also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a BLE Gateway, and Wi-Fi Range Extender functions. It's ideal for both residential and commercial spaces—without the need for an additional hub.
Built-in DALI power supply and support for 5 luminaires
The device has an integrated 10 mA DALI bus power supply, allowing it to power and control up to 5 DALI luminaires without the need for an external power supply module. This greatly simplifies installation – both in new buildings and when retrofitting existing lighting installations.
Precise brightness control
DALI Dimmer Gen3 offers advanced dimming options, including minimum and maximum brightness settings, transition duration, and fade rate. Night mode also allows you to set a constant brightness level during specific hours. The device also supports timers, weekly schedules, and a response to a DALI bus failure (turning the light on at 100%).
Flexible local control
Shelly DALI Dimmer Gen3 works with classic wall switches and allows for flexible lighting control—using either a single button or two. This allows you to easily integrate it into your existing installation.
Full integration with the Shelly ecosystem and external systems
The dimmer seamlessly integrates with the Shelly Smart Control app, enabling remote control, scene creation, scheduling, and local automation—even without the need for a cloud connection. The device also supports scripts, webhooks, MQTT, and local actions, providing extensive configuration flexibility. It also supports KNXnet/IP communication, making it easy to integrate into advanced KNX installations. Furthermore, the dimmer is compatible with popular smart home platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings. Furthermore, the product is part of the Gen3 series, equipped with Shelly's proprietary ESP32-C3 chip and 8MB of flash memory. This not only guarantees high performance but also allows for future upgrades to the Matter standard, ensuring compatibility with upcoming smart home solutions.
Virtual Component Support
