SONOFF MINI-ZB2GS-E is a modern, dual-channel ZigBee 3.0 wall switch designed for stable, fast, and secure control of lighting and other electrical circuits. It allows independent control of two loads, acts as a ZigBee router to strengthen a mesh network, offers Detach Relay mode, supports scenes, schedules, voice control, and integrates with popular smart home platforms – all in a sleek, minimalist, flush-mount design.

Stable ZigBee 3.0 communication and dual-channel support

The switch uses the ZigBee 3.0 (IEEE 802.15.4) protocol, ensuring low latency and high operational reliability. Importantly, the device acts as a ZigBee Router, strengthening and extending the range of the mesh network in the home. The ceramic antenna and enhanced signal mode (Enhanced / Turbo Mode) further improve connection stability, resulting in more reliable operation of the entire smart home system – especially in larger apartments and houses. Furthermore, the dual-channel design allows you to control two circuits from a single point, for example, a ceiling lamp and table lighting, or two lighting zones in a single room. This solution means fewer switches on the wall, a consistent appearance, and greater everyday convenience – both with manual control and via the app. Each channel can be configured independently – including as part of automation and scenes.

Detach Relay Mode – Perfect for Smart Bulbs

The disconnected relay function means that the physical button doesn't cut off power, but only sends a control command. This means that smart bulbs don't lose their connection to the network and don't go offline when using a wall switch. Additionally, it's possible to use ZigBee Binding, which allows the button to be directly linked to another ZigBee device—without the need for a cloud—ensuring immediate response even during a temporary internet outage.

Scenes, Schedules, and Automations

The MINI-ZB2GS-E allows you to create intelligent scenes – for example, automatically turning on lights when motion is detected or delaying power on after a power outage. Users can define the device's behavior after power is restored (Power-On State), including setting a light-on delay to prevent accidental switching on after a power outage. Schedules and timers allow you to adjust lighting to your household's daily rhythm, increasing comfort and security.

Wide compatibility with smart home platforms

The device works with the eWeLink app and Home Assistant (ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT), offering extensive configuration options for more advanced users. It can be used with multiple ZigBee hubs, among others ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro, iHost, and ZigBee dongles (ZBDongle-P/E, Dongle Plus MG24, Dongle Lite MG21). It also supports voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Integration with Apple Home is only possible via Matter Bridge – it requires a compatible Matter gateway and a suitable environment (e.g., eWeLink CUBE).

Safety, durability and ease of use

The fireproof PC housing, overvoltage and overheating protection, and a long-life relay (up to 100,000 cycles) make the switch suitable for intensive, everyday use. CE and RoHS certifications confirm its high quality. The switch fits standard Type 86 mounting boxes and European round boxes (Ø60 mm). Configuration is done in a few steps in the eWeLink app – a compatible ZigBee hub is required for operation, enabling the device to communicate with the smart home system. The SONOFF MINI-ZB2GS-E also supports remote OTA software updates, allowing you to expand its functionality without disassembly.
