Weighing approximately 11g, the microphone is virtually unnoticeable when clipped to clothing, making it more comfortable to use – especially during longer recording sessions. The detachable, rotating magnetic clip allows for precise angle adjustment, regardless of mounting method. This makes it easier to aim the microphone in the optimal direction and achieve clear sound. An improved charging case, available separately, conveniently stores the transmitter, receiver, and accessories.

Three sound profiles and effective noise reduction

There are three voice tone settings to choose from, allowing you to tailor the recording to your specific needs. Regular mode offers a natural, balanced sound, suitable for most applications. Rich boosts low frequencies for a more pronounced sound. Bright, on the other hand, emphasizes high frequencies, improving speech intelligibility. Two levels of noise reduction are also available. Basic mode is suitable for quiet environments, reducing background noise such as fans or air conditioning. In noisy environments, Strong mode is a better choice, effectively eliminating distractions and allowing you to focus on your voice.

Detailed sound and recording protection

The omnidirectional microphone pattern captures sound from all directions, which is especially useful in dynamic situations. 48 kHz/24-bit recording translates to high detail and faithful sound reproduction. Automatic volume limiting protects against clipping, ensuring recordings remain clear even with sudden changes in volume. A 5-step gain control is also available, controlled by a knob on the receiver (sold separately), allowing you to precisely adjust the signal level. The Safety Track feature, available in the DJI Mimo app, records an additional track with the volume reduced by 6 dB, providing protection against clipping – especially useful during live recordings. When fitted with a windshield, the transmitter effectively reduces wind noise and other interference, ensuring clear audio even outdoors.

Easy integration with your equipment

The microphone's broad compatibility makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of recording setups. It works with the DJI Mic Mini receiver and quickly connects to a variety of devices, such as smartphones, cameras, computers, and tablets. It also supports the new DJI Mic series mobile receiver. Simultaneous recording is possible using two transmitters and one receiver, providing greater flexibility when working with multiple audio sources. The DJI Mic Mini receiver also allows you to combine DJI Mic Mini and DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters in a single setup. The DJI Mic series mobile receiver offers various operating modes – in Green Light mode, it supports any two DJI Mic Mini or DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, while in Blue Light mode, it can work with any two DJI Mic Mini, DJI Mic Mini 2, DJI Mic 2, or DJI Mic 3 transmitters. Please note that the receiver is not included.

Direct camera connection

Operating the system doesn't require complicated configuration. After connecting the transmitter or receiver to your smartphone, you can conveniently manage settings and update firmware using the DJI Mimo app. A major convenience is the ability to directly pair up to two transmitters with select DJI cameras, such as the DJI Osmo Nano, DJI Osmo 360, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, or DJI Osmo Action 6. Integration within the OsmoAudio ecosystem eliminates the need for an additional receiver, speeding up preparation for recording.

Stable transmission and long-term operation without interruption

The system provides a wide operating range, up to 400 meters with two transmitters and one receiver, and up to 300 meters with the mobile receiver. This allows you to easily record even at longer distances without losing signal quality. The operating time is also noteworthy – the transmitter operates for up to 11.5 hours, and the receiver for approximately 10.5 hours. When combined with the charging case (available separately), the total operating time can reach up to 48 hours. Quick charging allows for approximately one hour of operation after just 5 minutes of connection (for both the transmitter and receiver). Additionally, the transmitter automatically enters sleep mode when not connected to the receiver, and in the DJI Mimo app, you can set both devices to automatically turn off after 15 minutes without a connection. The receiver can also turn on and off with the connected camera. When used with a smartphone, it draws power from it, and when both devices are connected to an external power source, they charge simultaneously.
